How it works

The TrendRemix model background changer moves the person in your photo into a new setting. You upload an on-model photo and either describe the scene in words or choose a reference image of a place. The tool is told to keep the person and everything they wear unchanged (face, hair, pose, clothing and accessories), replace only the background, and match light direction, color temperature and shadows. With a reference image, it takes the place, surfaces, light and colors but not any people in it. Because the whole image is generated again, compare faces and garments with the original before use.

From input to finished result.

01

Upload the model photo

In the Model photography workspace, choose Change background and add the photo whose person and outfit you want to keep.

02

Describe or show the new place

Write a scene such as a sunlit street café, or pick a reference image to match. Choose format, resolution and variations; the cost in credits is shown first.

03

Check the join

Look where hair, hands and feet meet the new background and whether shadows fall the right way, then compare the face and clothing with your original.

What you can do

Person and outfit kept

Face, hair, pose, clothing and accessories are the parts the tool is told to leave alone.

Scene from words

Describe the setting in up to 600 characters: a place, a time of day, surfaces and light.

Scene from a reference

Match the place, surfaces, light and colors of an image you choose, without copying people from it.

Light matched to the new place

Light direction, color temperature and shadows are adjusted so the person does not look cut out.

Who it is for

Studio shots into lifestyle images
Take a grey-backdrop catalog photo and set it in a street, café or interior for social posts.
Seasonal campaigns
Move existing on-model photos into a summer or holiday setting for a promotion.
Matching a brand look
Use a location photo from your own brand shoot as the reference so new images share its setting and light.

Before you download

  • Compare the face, hands and garment details with the original, since the image is generated again rather than cut and pasted.
  • Check that the light on the person comes from the same side as the light in the new scene.
  • Look at the feet and lower edge for a floating figure or a missing ground shadow.
  • With a reference image, make sure no person, logo or sign from that image has carried over.

Questions and answers

Do I need permission from the model in the photo?

Yes. This tool has no separate rights checkbox because it keeps the person already in your photo, but you still need the model's agreement to use their image in a new setting and in advertising. Only upload photos you are licensed to edit.

Can I use any image as the reference scene?

Use an image you have the rights to, such as your own location photo. The tool takes the setting from it, not the people, but logos and signs in the reference can still appear, so look for them.

Will the person be exactly the same?

The tool is told to keep the person and outfit unchanged, but the result is a newly generated image. Facial features, jewelry and fabric texture can shift slightly, so compare carefully.

Do I need a description if I choose a reference image?

No. You need either a description of at least three characters or a reference image. When you choose a reference image, the setting comes from that image and the written description is not used.

What if I also want a different model?

Use AI model swap, which replaces the person and can also change the background.
