Product shadow generatorComing soon

Give cut-outs a shadow so they stop floating.

A cut-out on a plain background can look pasted on. Add a shadow made from the product's own outline, choose where it falls and how soft it is, and the product itself is not redrawn.

How it works

The TrendRemix shadow generator adds a drop shadow to a transparent PNG cut-out. The shadow is calculated from the product's own outline rather than generated, so the product itself is not redrawn: the outline is offset straight down, down-left or down-right, blurred to a soft, medium or hard edge, and laid underneath at a strength from 10 to 90 percent. The canvas grows slightly so the shadow is not clipped. You can keep the result transparent or place it on white or a six-digit hex color. Because it is calculated, the same settings always produce the same shadow.

From input to finished result.

01

Start from a cut-out

Cut the product out with a transparent background, then choose Continue from this; the shadow tool opens with the cut-out loaded.

02

Set the shadow

Choose straight down, down-left or down-right, a soft, medium or hard edge, and a strength between 10 and 90 percent. Pick the background, then check the credits on the create button.

03

Check, then reuse the settings

Compare the shadow with the rest of your layout. Turn on Batch to give up to 50 cut-outs the same shadow so a product grid stays consistent.

What you can do

The product is left alone

Nothing about the product is regenerated. The shadow is drawn from its outline and placed underneath, so labels and fine print are not redrawn.

Three controls that matter

Direction, softness and strength cover the usual catalogue looks, from a faint glow underneath to a crisper cast shadow.

Any background

Keep transparency to layer the shadowed product into a design, or flatten it onto white or a brand hex color in the same step.

Repeatable results

The same cut-out with the same settings always gives the same output, which matters when hundreds of SKUs need to look alike.

Who it is for

White-background catalogues
Ground products on white so they read as standing on a surface rather than hovering above it.
Brand-color product grids
Add a consistent shadow to products placed on a campaign color.
Layered design work
Export a transparent PNG with the shadow included, ready to drop into a banner or a detail page.

Before you download

  • Keep the shadow direction the same across images that will appear side by side.
  • Check that a strong shadow does not swallow thin parts such as table legs or straps.
  • If the cut-out still has a halo, fix the edge first; the shadow follows the outline, halo included.
  • Note the margin added around the product, and crop or resize to your platform's format afterwards.

Questions and answers

Is the shadow created by AI?

No. It is calculated from the transparency of your cut-out, which is why the product is never redrawn and why the same settings give the same result every time.

Why do I see a message asking me to cut the product out first?

The shadow needs a transparent PNG to know where the product ends. Run the background remover with the transparent option, then send that result to the shadow tool.

Does the image size change?

Yes. A margin is added around the cut-out so the blurred, offset shadow fits inside the frame. Softer shadows need a wider margin.

Can it make a reflection or a long side shadow?

No. It offers drop shadows falling straight down, down-left or down-right. For a reflection on a glossy surface or a shadow inside a full scene, use the AI background generator or scene matching.

Can I keep the background transparent?

Yes. Choose Transparent and the output is a PNG containing the product and a semi-transparent shadow, with nothing behind them.

Bring your product. Leave with something new.
